Blac” means “pale” in Old English. This can be interpreted as the opposite of its current Modern English meaning. It also makes total sense: colourless. “Rīdere”: “mounted warrior”, “rider”, “knight”, from Middle German, or possibly Old Dutch. Irish and Welsh have similar words.
